First time poster long time searcher 🙂
I was just wondering if anyone else has seen this issue:
We are getting duplicate h1 and h2 tags which of course are bad for seo and it is also messing with our hierarchy page structure according to multiple SEO scans of our front page as the example.
On that page we found that our themes title was our mandatory h1 and our subtitle was h2 fine we like the text over our feature image so it works out fine and we are adjusting. The problem is after doing that and removing h1 and h2 from our page editor content we still have two h1 and h2
This is what the readers say these header positions are filled by:
H1 a blank space or a period (we only saw this on one of the readers the rest just leave a space
H2 “Primary Navigation” occupies the space
We have custom css we added to our website and I thought that was it as One site had that first header place as a period (.) so I thought maybe .primary navigation was it but no not anywhere I can find so it must be a css or something for the the theme or a problem in wordpress.

I did a basic install of the theme on another .com I have with out any plugins but yoast and the three that come with the pixelgrade theme rosa and it was the exact same results with these two h1 and h2 tags filled by a blank space and primary navigation.
