Hey clickharder,

Thanks for your feedback, we really do appreciate it. I just wanted to respond to your point about the post layouts. The free version is designed to display the text from the Facebook posts and so doesn't include photos or videos in the posts. This is an additional feature that we included in the Pro version for people who want to display photos or videos. For this reason, the post layouts don't apply to the free version and so we greyed them out in the settings with a note that you need to upgrade to the Pro version in order to enable them. I've made a note to remove those layouts completely in the next update to avoid any confusion. Thanks for your feedback about this.

I understand your perspective that reserving some additional features for the Pro version appears as though we're crippling the free version. However, I don't really agree with this as the free version is still fully functional in every way, it just doesn't include photos and videos and a few other more advanced features. If we didn't have a Pro version at all would you still consider this plugin to be crippled? I feel like it's penalizing us a little for creating an even more awesome version of the plugin which requires an upgrade :) If the free version was a standalone plugin without any Pro version available and none of those features were displayed would you still rate it this way?

In regards to the plugin guidelines, we actually had a forum moderator review the plugin a few months ago and determined that the plugin wasn't in violation of the guidelines. We simply offer a free plugin which contains lots of features, customizations, free support and free ongoing updates/maintenance, and then offer some additional features in a Pro version. We display some of the Pro settings/features within the free version in order to demonstrate what's possible with the Pro version, but understand your perspective that this may come across as crippling the free version.

Thanks again for your feedback, we really do appreciate it and have taken it on board. It's difficult to find a balance between giving everything away for free and trying to run a sustainable business that allows us to support and update both the free and Pro plugins on a long-term ongoing basis. If you have any other feedback or suggestions then please let us know as we always love hearing from our users :)

John
