I have two wp sites that since their migration to a new server, can not upload, upgrade plugins or update/reinstall wp.
I’ve done all the usual permissions changes as suggested, made sure the user:owner was correct, added new one to existing, all done. Nothing. Now the part that is troublesome issue is that I can ftp in to the uploads folder (or any folder) and create directories, delete, etc. The only time there are issues is when doing so from the wp admin profile. Running MySQL 5.7, tried on our dedicated server and copied over to a local computer. Same and same on both sites that migrated. Can’t migrate back so I’m wondering what I could have edited either in a setting somewhere or likely in the sql db to block this ability. I have upload_path as empty in MySQL but changing it does not achieve this. Any help would me greatly appreciated.
